I got a 220 for my other fish as they were growing too large for the 150 i need my new tank to cycle i got an overhead filter and an eheim classic canister all was well until the eheim canister's carbon decided to spit out everything it had absorbed now from ammonia 1
0.2 to 10+ should restart the tank or wait a little longer

remove the carbon not needed, can move some media from the old tank to the new to jump start the cycle, other than that just leave it. what is bringing the ammonia up? what are you cycling with?

Fishless used to have fish in there just to get 2 ppm of ammonia then i removed the fish to prevent anymore ammonia in the tank i forgot about the carbon and it released ammonia in the tank i used stress zyme in the initial cycling process but now the ammonia is is more than 8 ppm on the freshwater master test kit
