Hey guys. For those of you who are planning on going you already know why I'm asking :). What species of madtoms found in northern virginia are legal to collect and take? Keep finding all sorts of different information that contradicts which species can be found in the area.

Nobody? I think I figured out they have Margined Madtoms (Noturus insignis) but there has to be more than that, or is that all?

I am not sure which species, but there is a Madtom species in Virginia. The collecting site for the Catfish Convention collecting trip was chosen to maximize the chances of getting Madtoms.

Bump. I'm pretty sure like verbal said they wouldn't plan a convention collecting trip in somewhere with only 1 species (Margined Madtom) of catfish (not counting bullheads, channels, etc because most people I theorize don't want to take home monsters :) ) so there has to be more species than that...
