So what does one do to prepare for the arrival of pups? What food should be on hand? Any precautions to take? Separate them?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here are some pics of the soon to be mamas!ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409176383.631725.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409176395.634099.jpg

After you shut the lights off in the evening that's when they get comfy and are likely to start having them. So check on her shortly after Turing off lights. Not always but it's likely..Remove pups as soon as you can, using water from same system is best. I love the floating nurserys.
Get some night crawlers after a few days cut them as small as you possibly can and give a few and see if they take. By one week old they should be eating.

They don't need to eat right away. I'd wait a day or 2 before introducing food. They will readily start eating earthworms and I like to start mixing in tilapia as well. Where did the motoro come from?

Reminds me of my old girl. Best of luck with the pups. I know a guy looking for a pup. Any plans on shipping?
