I have an idea what it is ;) , but id like to know from the experts here..

however, I absolutly know what its NOT!, and thats what petco sold it to me as, (a kohaku swordtail! lol )

Its a halfbeak of some kind, too small to give a positive ID

i thought/think its a needle nose gar, as its top and bottom lips/mouth are same length, the lower lip doesnt look "beaked" ..however i an un sure what halfbeaks look like in person

what are some characteristics of a NN gar... the 4 i have (yes i bought all 4 the store had for $2.49 each) are all floating at top as well

Juvenile halfbeaks dont show the "half beak" trate

about 1 inch (they are all pretty small, top floaters)

what traties does on look for to tell which it would be in a juvi
