You can drill holes in piece of 1/2" PVC pipe, to whatever length you desire. Put a PVC cap on one end, and work the other end spray bar length into the tubing from the filter.
If it doesn't quite fit, try using a couple small lengths of different size tubes until the proper tight fit is found.
Home Depot usually has a variety of diameter tubes to choose from.
I have also used metal clamps from HD to securely attach different tubing together.

I made spray bars for my FX5's and used 3/4" PVC. I also bought Black PVC online along with 90 degree elbows and made the U shape to go around the tank rim. I drilled the holes 1" apart and they were 1/4". I cheated a bit and used a piece of pegboard as my drill template.

Not an easy site to use but they have the black PVC stuff and you dont have to worry about paint! Just make sure to have them cut the pipe to ship or Im sure it would be costly...
