The short answer is yes we deworm and quarantine all fish that come in. Also your best bet when picking up Plecos or any fish for that matter at your lfs is to wait if they are calming they are wild, look at there stomachs to make sure they are not sunken in, no stringy white or clear poo, also set up a Q tank at home dose not have to be big and treat all new fish you get before introducing them to your main display.
