So we FINALLY have everything we need for our 55G tank. All we need is to put the water and gravel in it. We however are still considering what fish to put in it. We would love to put a Banjo Catfish in it, but we read that gravel is not recommended for it, due to the fact that it will scratch it up and that it loves to burrow in the sand like a ray, but cannot with gravel. Are we able to get one, or would it be cruel punishment to have it with gravel? Thanks guys ;)

I saw banjo cats yesterday at lfs, but decided not purchase them due to them liking to burow. BTW the aquarium they were in had a gravel substrate. Just make sure gravel is round , and not jagged, peacock eels burrow also.:)

I think they would work out ok together. As far as the gravel, I also think that would be fine as well, but im sure they would appreciate burying in some sand though. If you have good cover it should be ok.
