What size tank should I use to breed Mollies in?

I have two 10's a 20 and 30 just sitting empty.
These will be breed and raised for feeders so the more I can breed the better.

Id put 1 male and three females in one 10 then heavily plant the other 10. so every two weeks you put the pregnant mollies in the planted 10 then take them out and put them back with the male.

Sounds good just brought some home and stuck them in the plant starter tank.

Man alive they made short work of the larva that was in it LOL

Tomorrow I'll get the other 10 in the house and put both of them in the basement.
I'll keep it bare bottom full of plants and do as you suggested. Nice thing is both thanks are already cycled.
Just had to add sponge filters to them.

Thanks

No problem, I've had a bunch of molly, gambuisa and fathead fry from a community tank. They all spawned together at the same time :screwy:

Only sould a few mollies the rest we're feeders for my dads oscars. This happened for a whole year until a week from home led to dead fish (overfeed).

WOW
I never tried breeding fish. Had lots of other animals ans success over the years though.

Any way to sex these things other then the females just "looking" pregnant?

And about how fast do the mollies grow?

I'll be tossing these in with a 9 1/2 inch Florida Gar.
Unlike the oscars and cichlids a dozen of anything mollie size last him a week.

EDIT Double post...
Thanks
I wanna cull out the males today.

Was afraid I was going to just have to wait until they started having live young to do it.

Yup already got little ones between 12 and 20 they are so small it's hard to get a good count have a few more mollies that look like they are going to pop any day. Guess I got lucky and got a few prego ones from the start.

I did sex them right there and asked for the "fattest ones"

Petsmart also refused to sell them to me so I had to call them out on it. ( very long story)
But I got them and they are breeding like teenagers.
LOL
