A friend got a stunning silver arowana (imported as "white silver"...yes, Brazil is importing silver aros ).
But it is turnning to a very white color, and all others "white silvers" around here did not achieve that color. We have no idea if it could be a platinum or high shine....the back is not a solid white, but very pale, the barbles are very white too, inside the eyes there is just a very very light yellowish reflect, but almost white and solid black pupils, there is no pink, nor blue reflects in the scales and fins/tail. The scales have a white shine reflect.
The aro is housing in a black tank for a while, and the ilumination system is a led/fluorescent lamp combination.
platinum or just high shine? Can it turn dark again because of the black tank environment, the tanning lamps or inderect sun light?
It is around 20" right now.
