I have a 40 gallon and 29 gallon with some Jaguar fry in them. I've been using the siphon into a bucket method to change water in these tanks. I always wind up siphoning some fry and have to net them to put them back. I have a python, but I'm thinking it's too powerful to use. There's got to be a better way.Maybe a net over the hose?

Put a panty hose over the vacuum I do it in my fry and shrimp tanks works great.

Those are some good ideas. I just saw on the internet that someone put a sponge over a piece of rigid air line tubing. I wonder if I could do that with the python. It would have to be a large piece of sponge. Maybe a piece from an aqua clear filter?
