I am very curious about this since my last visit to Asia last month. A friend of mine has a community (6 or 8, I don't remember anymore) of Juvy Asian arowana (approximately 10-12"), and he wanted to purchase another friend's SA (black) arowana (20"+). Is this a safe mix? I know its never guaranteed but I never found an answer. I see videos on youtube for one Asian and one SA, but never a comm of asians with a SA variety.
I know the SA variety is less aggressive and since it is 20"+, it may be safe from the more aggressive but smaller asian arowana? IIRC, the tank was about 1800 liters or approx 480 us gallons.
Any insights or personal experience would greatly be appreciated.
