so basically im planning on building a 5' x 4' x 2', well im almost past the planning and getting
ready for the build. i was planning on building a fuildized bed filter with 55 gal drums but i do
not think i will be able to this due to the fact that the only way for me to run the plumbing is
blocked by my fireplace. Would 2 fx6 filters be strong enough to handle a moroto and an
arowana?

would you plumb them to an overflow or just run them as usual?

i live on a slab so i can not go under the house with the plumbing

Thanks
Paul

Any thoughts on plumbing as a closed system using the fx6's? I have seen a lot of mixed reviews online

Awesome.. how often do you have to change the pads out? Also do you have overflows? Did you pipe it with 1 1/2" then reduce or use same size as tubing?

Dont even think about plumbing a canister into an overflow like a sump. It wouldnt work because the filter output isnt consistent over time so you would need to monitor it constantly and adjust
