An interesting thing with Blue Catfish (I. furcatus); what's this all about?

As I was reminiscing to day on having fish, I revisited one of my favorite species, the blue catfish. I found a very interesting picture on the internet:

This picture appears to show that blue cats have canine like teeth in the upper jaw. I've not caught many blues so my main experience with them is through keeping them in my tanks. Has anyone ever noticed anything like this before with these fish? I find this concept to be very interesting! With their predatory behavior, large grasping teeth don't surprise me, but I've not seen anything about this before.

Thoughts?

Check out the bow fin jaw in that link. Looks like a secondary lower jaw. It's crazy looking
