Hi I'm going to get into the breeding hobby and start breeding cichlids in a 20 gallon. I was wondering if there is any cichlids that I could breed. I'm interested in cryptoheros( not that I'd think they'd fit ), rams, kribensis etc. I don't know diamensions yet but it's 60 cm long also 94 litres

Rams maybe but bigger tank would be better.

Ok. After reading another thread i think I should go high maybe 30 gallon. Would kribensis work as I really don't want to get a bigger tank but have room for 4 ft. I will have to look at some 3 ft long aquariums

Blood Red jewels are much nicer than most dwarf cichlids imo, or some brichardi would be cool... maybe shell dwellers?

I wouldn't keep convicts in a 20H unless you divide the male from the female. If you don't, eventually the female will get thrashed or killed. I keep some of my wild breeders in 20Hs, but I have a permanent divider in the tank and let the pair spawn through the divider.
