Planiceps/Firewood catfish questions

At around how big do they slow down in terms of growth?

Do they bulk up just a little bit at around 2'?

They grow fairly quick and steady until around 4' imo....my buddy has a 40-42"er that blew up to that size from 12-18" in only a year or so. Id say tank size has alot to do with this but these guys are up there in size/growth with a rtc or tsn...just more slender bodied.

Cool. Would u know how Old was it tho before it had that amazing growth spurt? Mine is 17" right now. Less than a year. I had to nurse a 2+' pacu in his home and thank god the pacu did not touch him.

The tank is really big for him right now. The thing is, hes too slender and im sure my leerii and other big cats would kill it..

Im planning to stock his tank soon so need an estimate growth range on him so i would know which fishes at certain sizes to get.
