Took these three home for free from a feeder tank at my LFS. 90% sure they're little yellow bullheads but they appear to have slightly rounded caudal fins where as bullheads have squared off caudal fins so I'm half suspecting possible madtoms. They're from either Florida or the Carolinas. They're about 2" now. They're acclimating for a 5.5 gallon now which obviously isn't their home for long. They'll stay there for about a month maybe two (until they hit 3.5-4" and yes I'm prepared to do water changes every other to even every day) and then go in a big bin before going into a large pond in the spring.

Adipose fin isn't connected to dorsal (just thought of that) so highly doubtful they're madtoms. They have white mandibular barbels so they're either yellow or flat bullheads.

Pretty much confirmed as yellow bullheads. Thanks for the help guys! Hopefully they'll breed in my pond in the spring.
