For any of you interested in the rapidly spreading amphibian disease chytridiomycosis, this is a world-wide problem that is spreading rapidly. Simplified ecosystems, such as drainage ponds, ornamental ponds, and even aquariums provide simplified environments that may cause the density of zoospores in the water to be increased. This leads to increased infection rates. As I've said before, and will say again, never release a pet into the wild. Click the link to download the PDF from Herpetological review.
