South american lungfish mouth!

I don't know too much about any of the lungfish but judging from the photos my guess is that the mouth is a little deformed and the teeth are visible.It does not look like any kind of infection that I've seen before.

It doesn't look cottony like most fungus infections but I could be wrong...

How big is this lung? Maybe you can catch him in a net and gently touch the area with something in order to make sure that that's it's teeth.

What's sketchy about it?..I didn't say for him to shove his pinky into the fish's mouth.All he would have to do is lightly probe the area with a dull object.If I wanted to know what the stuff was I wouldn't have a problem doing it to be sure that my fish is healthy.
