I've changed my community tank to a predator tank.

And I started off by adding 3 hujeta gars, 2 clown knife fish and a endli bichir.
I've later added three African butterflyfish and a ropefish.

After observing the endli for a while, I decided to add more bichirs.

I know have a
Delhezi
Palmas polli
Endlicher
Ornatipinnis

And next week I'll get a ansorgii

I'm very happy with these fish and I enjoy watching the tank more now then I did before.

The bichirs are all the same size (or about)
The endli is the largest.

But only by a inch or two, they go along together fine, and I'm aware they get very large ( clown fish especially) but it's only about 5-6 inches now. So I get to enjoy them for a while, and maybe down the road I'll get a larger tank, but at my current resident this is the largest I can have.

Here are some pics

Here's my ropefish, the largest fish in my tank, can't get a decent photo of it yet.

I also installed a light dimmer on my tank, which is why the last pic is a bit darker.

Just a quick note! I added two ropefish, but since I added them about two weeks ago, I never saw two, only the one.
But today they both emerged at the same time, so now I know one of them didn't die.
I always thought he died or escaped or got trapped in my fx6, but I never noticed any corpse or my water parameters change to the worse, so now I can quit looking beneath my bed.

Rope fish are master of escape. You should look carefully and secure your lid ;). But nice collection you got there! And loving the tank :3. Have fun, and welcome to the bichirs addict ;)

My lid is heavy and secure. So I got that covered.
I learned my lesson when one of the hujeta's jumped and escaped.
He survived and is doing fine, thank god. I love those fish as well.

Here he is

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Having some trouble getting the endli to eat anything other then live fish,
Looks like he is interested in beef heart tonight.

However I'm getting freeze dried shrimps, crickets and some worms.
I'd prefer it he ate the massivore from Hikari, but doesn't seem interested at all.

The others have no problem eating whatever I give them.

That's an ornatipinnis. Unless the post and pic are unrelated of course :)
