New musk turtle

So I have a baby musk turtle that was found outside. I've noticed that he has some type of fungus on his shell. How do I get rid of it. Is it ok if I just scrub it off?

It is very curable. Though I haven't experienced myself, Ive read about it for my baby terrapins. I suggest you check out this forum...turtleforum.com
