First off, modds, I am not sure where to put this thread so please move accordingly.
This overgrown talon or tiny tusk was found on a river bank in Des Moines, IA. It is petrified in the center and from where it connected to the animal, you can see that the middle was a bone marrow type structure. A local archeologist claims that the leading theory between himself and his colleagues is that it is a tusk off of a tiny pig. As you can see from the pictures, it would have had to be an extremely small, yet mature pig, so I highly doubt this is the case. (Unless there were once 6 inch boars running around) Anyways, it is a great mystery that I would love to solve. Can you help me?

Very cool! I would love a 6" wild boar as a pet, haha
