New project that I had decided to embark in landscaping my aquarium that went pretty wild, on the flora side, into terrarium.

Decided to revamp the whole setup, first by clearing most of the cabomba which got so messy (Good meal for my silver dollar in another tank). Then, it is time to reduce the water level to my desirable level for a terrarium. Nothing much at the moment in this picture, just look as if this tank is undergoing some form of water changes20140823_132412.jpg

And then, the actual landscaping... Placing driftwood, tons of them, strategically, to form a stable structure behind to create "land". Then, the mist maker arrives. It helps a lot in keeping the moss moist and promotes their growth. 20140921_222319.jpg

And of course, having the mistmaker in sight is a pain in the butt, especially when you are trying to emulate nature. So I got more driftwood, add some more terrarium plants, to cover up the mistmaker.20141006_221640.jpg20140922_120336.jpg20141006_221801.jpg

As of today, the terrarium looks the exact same as photo #1 and #3.
List of fauna includes
-6 harlequin rasbora
-6 rice fish
-10 white cloud minnows
-1 red tail black shark
-1 threadfin rainbow
-1 chinese algae eater
-1 zebra botia
-1 bumblebee goby
-1 swordtail pair
- 2 zebra snails
- few platies(Recently, a few platy babies were noted in the tank, surviving well, the few babies, currently enjoying flake food given)20141006_221728.jpg20140921_212527.jpg Only managed to capture these photos of the bumblebee goby(photo 1) and the threadfin rainbow, the rice fish just beside it, (photo 2).

Hopefully, I can get my waterfall system in place by the next update, with a couple of hardscape there to hide the system from view. Maybe, I would go ahead an get a few more of the rainbows. P.S: Can't wait for this terrarium to complete

nice. I plan on doing something similar to my 90G, except I'll be building a unit on top.
keep an eye on your water temps. those ultrasonic foggers can heat up.

Look cool! Are you planning to put any amphibious creatures in there as well?

20141007_204750.jpg One of the 6 harlequin rasbora that reside in the terrarium.

20141007_204937.jpg Proud parent. The platy in front is actually bred by the fish behind in the earlier batch. <Note the colour similarities>. I can never tell who is the father of this juvenile.
20141007_204853.jpg This guy deserve a credit for helping me clear off waste left by the fish and any algae growth. Known as the zebra snail.
20141007_210941.jpg He is also responsible for the waste that are stuck on the glass not covered in water. Have to clear it everyday but still, worth having him around.
20141007_204925.jpg Last but not least, picture of the setup from above. <Littered with duckweed>
