Twinstar nano

Hey guys , so I went to my lfs today and was planning to buy a good airstone , by I notice this cool looking steaming thing on a planted tank , it's was a twinstar nano , I have a arowana tank and I was wonder if it's any good for my aro , i search online and it says that it helps with killing bad bacteria and airs the waters , I was wondering if it's any good , please help thx

Took a look at it, it seems to be a problem looking for a solution.
By that I mean replacement disks and start out price are both way up there.
I say this because if you keep up with your tank(s) your not going to need this gizmo.

Just my opinion though.
