No im not drunk.

Thinking about adding a 3rd drain between the siphon and dry standpipe. Probably a 3/4 bulkhead as a low flow to handle approx 100gph as a buffer before the emergency drain.

The megaflow is big enough to park a ford fiesta in. Space is a nonconcern.

I'm running 2 return pumps (for safety in case one dies) looking to push close to 1000gph. Already knocked the teeth out of the weir and replaced with gutter guard.

Its a brand new AGA 90g with 3/8 glass. Ive drilled a handful of tanks with 1/4 glass no problem.

Im thinking this spot on the tank will be extra robust because it isn't under the full load of the water being that its behind the overflow chamber. But physics are a cruel b... is this some crazy stress point for the rest of the glass?

I shouldnt worry since those reef maniacs drill an obscene amount of holes in huge tanks.

A) do it you cry baby. Stop second guessing

b) no your dumb thats totally not needed

Forgot to mention the factory holes are both 1"

Both drains run 100% vertical no bends down to the sump. Siphon has a gate valve not a ball valve
