Just starting my monsters

Here is a look at my progress so far. It all started with my wife's yellow belly slider turtle. Apparently, he likes having tankmates especially cichlids. Now I embarked on a journey to maintain a habitat for a motley bunch that all do fairly well with each other even if typically they wouldn't work. I think the turtle keeps a level of good behavior within the bunch. So far in the 72 bowfront tank with 30 gallon sump is...

so far they look better than in any tank I've seen thus far. But I am still new to the hobby.

In fact, I do. I originally planned on going towards a min of a 110 gallon but now I'm starting to think of building a custom. Probably acrylic. Just depends on the space that I have at the time and the minimum volume I'll need.
