for anyone thats worked at a lfs. what would you say are the most commonly donated fish.

i would say
pleco, pacu, rtc, oscars, and convicts.

Common and easily bred cichlids (Amatitlania, etc), RTCs, Common Plecos, anything that gets to big or to much of a hassle for a newb with a 10G. For the most part.

Oscars, pacus, convicts, goldfish, livebearer fry, pleco, shovelnose catfish, RTC and African cichlids are donated to all LFS in my area.

Ive never worked at an Lfs but my go to spot always has an abundance of very large plecos.

Also goofy looking fancy gold fish that get stupid large. Nobody wants them. There is always a tank full of them too.
