In my 75 Gallon (48"x18"x20") I have this as a stock.

6 Giant Danios (2.75"-3")
1 Striped Raphael Catfish (3"-3.25")
1 Gibbiceps Pleco (6.25"-6.5") (Will be Upgraded at 8-10")
1 Yellow Bullhead (6.75"-7") (Will be Upgraded at 10-12")

Water params-
temp: 74F
pH: 7.6
WC Schedule: 50-60% weekly

To make this short, I'm thinking about getting a Black Lancer Cat since my friend has a nice 7" one for sale and I've really fallen in love with it after seeing it every time I go over to his place. He says $50 for it and it's a bit pricey but it's a really nice fish that comes out during lights on to feed. Should I get the fish for this tank?

That was random, just asking for opinions since I'm not sure how quickly the bioload will get taken up as the fish grow. Somebody needs to calm down especially for your first post

I'd be more worried it's an established member who just wanted to save face

Yellow bullheads tend to be a little aggressive and black lancers don't like their own kind so you may have to watch them. These are generalizations it depends on the fish's personality. I'd say it depends on your filtration if your water parameters are good and you think it'll handle it and if you think he's worth $50 why not? My closet experience is with a harlequin lancer and a yellow bullhead seemed to get along fine.

Thanks! Mind if I ask where you got a Harlequin? They're pretty hard to come by and I've never once seen one for sale.

I got him from wetspot out in portlandia. He hasn't had them in a while. I sold mine when I moved along with an eel-tailed banjo and a breitensteinia insignis and I still miss him I would definitely get another. Heres a pic. DSC00150.JPG
