Hey guys, i've been lurking for awhile and finally joined up. I'm very excited to be a part of this great forum.

A little about me...i've been keeping fish for over 20 years. I currently have 4 tanks running (down from 7), a 135 gallon with mostly CA cichlids, 2 x 55 gallons, and a 20 long which is my QT tank. Some of the fish I currently have are synspilum, argentea, firemouths, angelfish, oscar , severum, black shark, ctenopoma acutirostre, dennison barbs, balas, and more.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and I will post some pics of my fish and tanks once i get home.

When I get home tonight I'll try posting some pics but for now here's a video of my 135 gallon. Occupants are a Synspilum, Argentea, 2 Firemouths (male and female), 2 Convicts (male and female), Black Shark, Pictus cat and a Bala Shark. I'm growing out 4 more Balas in one of my 55's to add to the 135G once they get some more size on them.

Nice Tank. What size are those firemouths and how old? Seems like I have been waiting forever for mine to grow.

Nice tank. I too am keeping synspilum, though I think they have been re categorized into the older, firstly described Paraneetroplus, instead of Vieja. So now I guess they are called Paraneetroplus synspilus (?) not sure but I think this is what I read. Thanks for showing what one of my fish will look like in adulthood. I currently have three, with the biggest at about 3". Have you ever had any issues with that big guy breaking things or knocking anything over? I also noticed you had a Synodontis eupteris. I was considering one as well, but decided to get an L330 Panaque. I do like the movement your syno brings to the tank though. Thanks again!

The synspilum I bought when he was barely 2" long. I've had him about 4 years now. He's about 12-13" now. He's not too destructive but he does occasionally knock the heaters loose every now and then.

That's not actually a synodontis but a Black Shark, Labeo chrysophekadion. I bought him at my fish club's auction for $1 when he was about 3". He's now about 9" and quite a character. I can't do a water change without him right there trying to suck on my arm.

The Firemouths I've had about 3 years now. The male, the first one you see in the video, is about 6". The female is slightly smaller. Funny thing is the female has seemed to pair up with the male Convict. They share a cave and I suspect they've laid eggs a few times but I have yet to see some fry. The little female Convict is always lit up in her breeding colors and tries to get the male Convicts attention but he has ignored her so far.

Now for some pics.

Here's another tank, my 55 gallon angelfish community. Occupants are a pair of angels, a Ctenopoma Acutirostre, Dennison Barbs, a pair of BN plecos and Bala sharks which will move into the 135 once they get some more size to them. I need to get a current FTS.
