So as I stated in another thread, I got a new tank with a 55 gallon sump. The question is,... Am I right in just keeping a heater at 80* and a circulation jet going in the sump to keep the bio critters wet, alive, and well? I have been adding a few drops of pure ammonia daily so they don't starve out, but it is going to be a week before I set up the feeder farm with this sump for filtration...
Suggestions? clues? Or is this all I can do?
The sump is basically a 55 acrylic with a stack of three bins. I have the bins with media laid out submerged with the jet pushing water through so they all get constant flow.
