I just picked up some Bio Spot drops for my dog and a collar for the cat but there are now so many different brands out there I wonder which one is best.I figured I'd ask around and see which brand you guys prefer.

I guess that is what I should have gotten instead as I am very unhappy with Bio Spot.

I use comfortis with my dogs. It's a pill you give them once a month and it works systemically. I never had any luck with the drops you place between their shoulders.

I use Ivermectin. Does both flea and tick along with heart worm or any other worms. I can't use any drops or flea collars or such. My Great Dane is allergic to pretty much everything. She can only eat certain foods or she will lose her hair and gets real bad hives.

Not that I'm aware of. It cost me 1,000.00 at the vet to find out nothing!!! Just kept giving her steroids. So we stopped everything at once and stated a list when she would start losing her hair that went on the no have list. Took a good 6 months but it's been five years now and have not had a problem. She also can only have that blue buffalo food. You know 65.00 for a 30 pound bag. So yeah the dogs not cheap. But the ivomec I get at the tractor supply. It's for cattle. It cost me about 60.00 bucks a bottle but that last me around two years or so. Cheaper then buying those heart worm pills. I have to buy two of them each month she weighs in at 139 pounds.

You can get it at your vet or from 800 pet meds, but yes, u need a prescription. It is really effective.
It's about 90-100 $ and comes with 6 pills which you give once a month, so 100 bucks for six months and they don't get that nasty greasy stuff on their coat
