First pic of my new tiger Oscar, currently in with my other cichlids before moving :)

Stressed and still sorting out the pecking order, but he's fed already. Was in less than ideal conditions in the LFS

Nice oscar man man! Everytime I go to an lfs I always have a temptation to get one. Oscars are what started it for me.

That "O" on the tail is symbolic of some or most sa cichlids. All oscars have them.

He's looking good just now, really really hope he isn't carrying parasites, or develop ich; as the Oscars where I am tend to arrive in terrible condition.

Plan is to make sure I'm up on the water changes, going to clear some stock as well, since its overstocked at the moment.

Oscar update guys, got back today to find him floating around the tank, looking pale; tilting at upwards angle. Water params are 0,0, 5-10, the other fish pretty much ignore him.

I'll be furious if its parasites again.

Could also be a typical 'pouting' Oscar. They are known to act that way at times and he still is new to your tank so might still be trying to settle in.
