Teacup stingrays

Any stingray keepers have advice for me? I tried looking up teacup stingrays but found the information to be non useful. How can you distinguish if it's a true teacup. Seen some at the local aquarium but I don't want one that grows to a huge size. Only info found was water parameters.

Is there a difference between a histrix and a rectic that is noticeable. I was told of the tail length but it is really hard to identify if there is only one kind and the tail lengths can't be used to compare. Coloration? Any distinct features maybe?

Nice! Just got a female retic today. Introduced her to the tank mates a couple of sabre tusk barracudas. Next on the list is a silver aro! Gonna remake the amazon in my house.
