Got a pair of Channa pleurophthalma last week, after looking many times. They are around 7'' and LFS kept them in a pretty dirty looking tank and these two are looking heathier than the rest. But their pectoral fins are still a bit reddish and pretty much shy, most of the time stays at the bottom. Ate some prawns only once. Seems like they are looking for some live foods? they don't even looking at the fish fillets.
Added some almond leaves and no tankmates for now. Pics were taken last night.

Great looking fish, some real potential there. To stimulate their appitite you should add cover, (floating) plants, bogwood and other decoration.

Looking good Nirman. They have nice colors, will look even better when they settle down. Yeah, you definitely need to add more cover plants. Please update regularly.
