Sorry I ask so many questions.
Anyway, my cousins friend is giving away 2 Dovii. Both small approximately 2.5 to 3 inches. My question is: what is the time frame I could keep these little guys in a 90 gallon until I have to put them in a bigger tank? I'm looking into a 450 somewhere in the next 6-7 months. Would they outgrow the 90 before then?

There are lots of contributing factors, getetics, what food they are eating , and weather or not they are already agressive towards eachother. The biggest issue would be agression I wouldn't keep them in the 90 for more than 4 months or so(they grow fairly fast) just my opinion. I think the agression will get to them first and they may attack eachother that's gonna be your biggest issue.

From what they've told me they are okay with each other. They're being housed in a 29 gallon :(. Any recommendation on food?

you could try divide the tank
found using dithers does not help, dovii want to fight other dovii
