Hey guys,

What would you recommend the generalised price of a irwini cat @ 8" , 9 " and 20"?

On our side of the pond, ~3"-ers are ~$20-$40. Bigger, IDK. Can only guess 8"-9" would be ~$50-$100. 20" - forget it, an arm and a leg, unless a conscientious owner re-homing, like this owner with an ~15"-20" irwini from Winsconsin http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=29042
Well, I've got 3 irwini coming lol... 8", 9" and a 20" so I was just curious haha. I'll probably keep them as I've been after them for a while and I'm picking up another 260g just for these to keep them going until the 2,820g pond is ready (12ft diameter x 4ft deep)

Paid £30 for a 15" one a couple of years ago. Really slow growing and get fat very easily if you try to feed to much. They don't go for much on Aquarists classifieds as even though they look good, they are really boring fish that just hide as soon as they have fed. Mine looks amazing for the 3 minutes a day I see it! ; )

Yeah sorry, didn't mean to sound negative! Just re read my post! They are great fish, just watch out for their tendency to over eat! They end up looking really fat without growing any quicker. I have led lighting which probably doesn't help with seeing it more often.
