I'm contemplating getting my mom an led light for her reef tank. She has no coral in there right now, but she'd like some. She's got halide lights, but she'd like something a little easier on the electric bill and heat production. I was wondering if anyone had experience with them and what your thoughts were. Also what your recommendation would be. It's a standard 55 gallon tank. Thanks!

No one has any input on this? After doing some research, I'm more on the fence than ever.

I'm in the same boat. So far, looking at AI and nanobox. Its all very much opinion based, if you can get a firsthand look in person then I would say do that...

I ordered the cheap china 120 watt units off eBay and they worked great for growing coral. Everything did really great in my tank. For the price you can't go wrong.

Is there a brand name or just China brand? I'd like to get them for Christmas. That halide fixture is so big, and it hangs from the ceiling. Anyone else have experience with them?
