thank Evz, you should get some too
I'd love too and will when I can afford one ;) although I've noticed the price of Asians has dropped loads in the past couple of years in the UK so chances are it'll be sooner than I imagined :D

good to hear that, just be sure to check details on the fish before buying them. Here in my area, the price started from as low as US $300 for a baby super red, a low quality one, then it goes up to around $1000 US for the good one, a baby size. Thats the price range here, else where maybe sky rockets. Still it is best to get them at around 20cm, just to be safe with the quality.
We have arowana contest this December here, hopefully I could go and see it, and take some pics.

My LFS has got shbrtg in stock at around 25cm for £750 (or £500 to me ;)) but I still can't blast £500 on a fish ATM got other mouths to feed lol
There is an advert local to me with rtg going for £225 with all docs at 6" , and quite a few 12"+ ones knocking about on local ads various species ranging from £150 - £450
All round price drop in UK and lots more around , jardini are catching up in uk there going for £100 + from 4-5" upwards
I'll jump on the Asian bandwagon soon enough just need a bit more space (fishroom when I move ;):D)

£100 here can get maybe 10 baby jardini, :), even with £750 u could get a good looking super red here, but all these cant be compared with your place, there are other cost to consider. Super red prices here are remain the same all the time, some people are willing to pay up to £5000 for a top quality super red. The only aro price that is dropping now here is the price of 24k golden aro, there are only fewer people willing to buy them.
