As I said in some earlier posts... I'm back in the Guapote game! I'm starting this thread to show off my Red Tiger Motaguense and my Jaguar Cichlid progression. Of course I have some favorite dithers I'll include from time to time. The RTM are about 1.5" - 2" and the Jags are 2" - 3". I'm growing them out right now to hopefully pair a few up and/or possibly put together a larger CA community tank. I will be separating them into their own tanks as needed. Enjoy!

The nicest female out of the bunch. She's only about 1.5" and she's showing colors already. I think she's going to be a stunner.

Thanks. Throw a few pics up for comparison. I have been raising Parachromis spp. for years but never have raised Motas and I will definitely say they have been the most aggressive I have kept. I thought my Rio Danto Freddies were aggressive at the time, but they pale in comparison.

Here you go.... First pic last week in August when I purchased.....
Second picture earlier this week
I got lucky it seems....my motas were sick for a couple of weeks after I bought them... became emaciated ...I lost some momentum on their growth but they bounced back .. You are in for a treat as you see them color up.... Like with most nice looking fish photos don't do them justice.......

They look great! My largest male and female are coloring up just as yours are. I will try to get some more pics tonight.
