I ordered a 540 Gallon 96X44X30 Acrylic from Midwest Custom a while back. It's shipping today or tomorrow. I ordered the tank, stand, and custom acrylic sump. I'm totally copying ElectricBlueSeanBurch and JC1119's setup, and Egon, on all this. This will probably end up being set up exactly like JC119's 300 Ga. This has been a very long wait for this tank, and I'm glad it's finally on its way.

Overflows: Internal--2 overflow boxes on the back inside wall of the tank. Each box will cover up 1 1.5" PVC return line, and 2 2" drain lines. Herbie style overflows, tied together, into a 4 inch Valterra gate valve.
Pumps: Pair of Laguna Max Flow 2400's--I figure I'll get at least 4000 GPH. I figure with oversize returns and drains, I can upgrade later if I need to.
Sump: 72X24X17 Totally open, no baffles, 4 filter socks with holders built into the sump, 12 Liters Seachem Matrix in 4 laundry bags.

Fish: Paratheraps/Vieja for now, I'll soon add some Trimacs, a Jag, some Royal Pleco's once it's up and running. I hope this tank's big enough to keep Parachromis/Amph's with Vieja successfully. I'm gonna try it out and see.

I've been cycling Matrix in a trash can outside for a month or so now. I used this stuff, and waited. (http://www.amazon.com/DrTims-Aquatics-Ammonium-Chloride-Aquarium/dp/B006MP4QG6). I'm getting 0's for Ammonia and Nitrite now.

I had an electrician run a dedicated circuit to the back office yesterday. I ordered $400 in PVC fittings and Loc-Line last night. I got a big shipment of Manzanita in last week.

Auto Water Changer: I'm gonna call "thefilterguys.biz" this week, so it's coming.

I'd post pics, but only thing I have pics of is a trashcan full of water...:)

Sounds sweet. I would be stocking stingrays with that space.

Sounds like what I tried talking my wife into but since she's spatially challenged I had to settle for 72x30x25. I second the ray idea.

You want pics of a trash canoed water and PVC fittings? I can post that. :). Tanks supposed to be here Fri or Sat. 4 days from Monday. I can't wait, not getting ANYTHING done at work this week. I feel like a 10 yr old on Xmas eve.

I would have been puckering the whole trip home with the tank on an open trailer.
