I recently ran a test with one of these cheap leds from home depot

I have been looking for as to lower cos on my tanks. One of these bulbs in a cheap clamp light fixture on my 40gbreeder with no reflectors had both of my anubias add 2 new stalks in one week. I feel with a Reflector it could do even more.
Cheap Led-10.5 watts
4ft fluorescent- 32 watts
so even if it takes two leds still lower cost to run
Cost
Led-$3.97
Fluorescent- $9.97
also the LED does not get as hot as the fluorescent. Going to place my test one on an end of my 125 to test spread and penetration.
Any thoughts are welcome I know a lot of people look into leds but cost is prohibitive for ones good enough for plants. I figure this may be an option.
