I know, I know, its a bad idea but this is for the lab at school and the teacher is purchasing a few and I have been put in charge of them due to my experience with saltwater aquariums. What is your experience with them? What do the eat? Growth rate? Aggression? How long have you kept one in captivity? Where did you purchase it?

Not hard at all - but obviously need TONS of room.
Back in the 80's they were often sold at LFS as babies (3 inches) and they did great - feed them sinking shrimp pellets, etc. They need a lot of room to roam. Don't forget that this is not a warmwater animal. Room temp is best.
