Hey guys I am getting some pictus catfish for my next tank (with a GT and a BN), so I was just wanting to know about others experiences with them, as I have never kept them before. Cheers, Jim.

They are easy to keep, adaptable and non-fussy at the feeding time. They really like company of their own kin. My usual advice is to get at least 6. Better 12.

You are probably thinking Pimelodus blochii. I think we are talking Pimelodus pictus here, which ~ never exceed 5" TL.

Yeah, I plan on getting 3 pimodellus pictus. Is that not enough? Should I get more? They will be in a 60g.

The more you get, the more natural and interesting, active their behavior will be. As for the tank size, that's a diff. matter but it could handle up to a dozen, I'd think, with adequate filtration.

Righto thanks, so I might go with 4, it depends if I think I could get away with that that many with a GT in a 60g.
