Is there a media to eat up nitrate? I know it is done in very low o2 levels but is there a media I can add to my sump to eat up some of my nitrate

220 gallon tank
Wet dry filter
Frontosa
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10-20
40-50% wc every 5 days or so

I'm not looking to reduce the amount of water changes just looking to make eat up nitrates I know I can add plants or an algae scrubber which isn't totally off the table

More water changed or pothos. Put em in a basket on top of tank or in your sump.

I had a significant decrease in nitrates when using pothos until they got so big my cats started noticing them....

Adding pothos doesnt mean you can skimp out on water changes but im sure you're well aware of that!

Yea for sure not looking to reduce water changes just to make water more stable I was even looking at nitrate reactors with the big tube of PVC and 100 feet of line then sponges but I heard you have to feed those pothos might be the way to go I was just trying to find a fresh water live rock alternative
