The obvious answer to me seems yes, but I figure I would ask anyway.
I have a 55 gallon tank with a Fluval 304 on it right now.
I have a 44 pentagon I need to set up and I have an aquaclear 300 on it. If I hang the Aquaclear on the 55 gallon for a month, and then fill half the 44 with water from the 55 (and obviously top off both tanks), I shouldn't need to cycle the tank, should I?
Do I need to wait a month, or will the Aquaclear seed with enough bacteria sooner than that?
