Picked up this guy today. Looks pretty beat up. Previous owners didn't use a heater and grew up in a 29 gallon. Think he will pull through? He's been home in a 55 gallon but floating at the top...

He looks good, I'd worry more about the fact that he's gone from crap water conditions in his old home, to good conditions in your tank; but JD's are pretty tough, hence why he survived in the first place. I reckon you'll be fine.

Update I took the danio out. No need to stress him with that crazy little guy he never stops moving.
I do have plenty of filtration I would say... Penguin 350 and fluval 305 canister.
