Has anyone used Leca clay media in there sump it looks pretty good for the price points ? Want to run 15 liters of it in my sump?

I never used it but just ran across them or something similar to them when I was searching the net for bio media seems good some even claim to complete the nitrogen cycle all the way due to the size of the media and how no o2 gets to the middle where bacteria grows and eats up the nitrate

I've used it.. Works extremely well on clean water but tend to clog if you have no mech.. Make sure to rinse before you put it in your filter, otherwise it will tint the water for weeks.. I know some pretty reknown discus guys use it..

I use expanded clay media just like that in my aquaponics sump (hydroton and plant IT). As mentioned above, make sure to wash it well before adding it to your tank and even then expect it to tint the water for a day or two.

Never had a problem with it, honestly not sure why more people don't use it... way cheaper than biomax, etc.

It's cheap enough !
Going for 15 to 20 liters of if in my 40 gallon sump.
