Maybe a combination of curiosity and tonic immobility? The Tiger Shark is investigating someone it associates being fed by with exploratory bumps and the diver triggers the beginning of tonic immobility through manipulating it's snout? I know that Tiger Sharks enter TI when hands are lightly placed on their snout close to their eyes and that's what the diver appears to be doing to me. Another thing interesting to note is that sharks are one of the few if any animals that don't enter TI out of a fear response. Scientists are still investigating it and some speculate it maybe associated with breeding. That being said sharks look relaxed even content to me in that state so maybe there's a degree of pleasure the sharks feel in that state and perhaps they'll even search it out if it's initiated and then stopped if they're under certain conditions. Of course this is just speculation on my part but it would be interesting to think that the greatest eating machines ever had a softer side.
