Help with Nitrate in 240g

Hi guys,

I been change out three time water of 240g tank first when it change the water I tested nitrate it it zero, next day it go back up to .1 then I wait for full cycle of the tank then test it again it go up .2 I did that couple times already, I even add five time of Prime to lower the nitrate it doesn't work after two day.
[h=1]What is your best pick to treat nitrate?[/h]1 Nitrate+Nitrite Pad ?
2 Algone Water Clarifier & Nitrate Remove?

API Rena Filstar Nitra-Zorb?
please help me asap so I can place an order for my tank.

None of the above.
Water changes and or live plants are the most efficient way of removing nitrate.

Prime does nothing to change your nitrate levels.

sooo....are you referring to nitrates or nitrites? Because if your nitrates are at .1 or .2 then you have the cleanest tank ever haha. its nothing for my tanks to sit between 10-20 nitrates depending on the stock/size of tank.

if you do in fact mean nitrates, theres only 3 things you can do:
1. more frequent water changes
2. plants in the tank/pothos in your sump or filter
3. reduce your stock.

if you mean your nitrITES are at .1 or .2 then your tank isn't cycled.

1 yes, I change water every time after the cycle of FX6 within 24hrs
2 No plants
3 maybe because a lot frys and it ****
I mean nitrate from .5 to 1 the next day then second day move to 2

what is your thought of Nitrate? would I leave it like that so let the filter work for a month see if nitrate lower.

How long has this tank been set up?

Do you have the test kits for ammonia and nitrite? If so, please post the results.

You need to increase ceramic media (no hole in middle) if you want it to grow. You have to have aerobic (ammonia-nitrite and it need lots of O2). To reduce nitrate you need anaerobic which produces where there is almost no oxygen (deep inside ceramic media- no hole)
