Hi mfkrs,

I have a 100 gallon glass tank with 2 peacock bass and 1 pike cichlid in it.

I have a whisper 60 hooked on it currently and some pothos in it which is established already.

I'm told recently that the whisper 60 is just not enough for my fish.

What other filter or filtering system would you guys recommend???

Please look at my other posts for a full tank shot as I can't upload one right now from my phone.

Thanx

The easiest thing would be to add another whisper 60 (maybe 2 more) or similar filter.

A fluval 406 or fx5/fx6 would be a good addition as well. Any large canister would help with your bio load.

If money is an issue - sponge filters are no joke. Poor mechanical filtration but they are superb biological filters

A sump would be your best and most effective solution, that involves drilling, plumbing, etc

Personally, I would use 3 Aquaclear 500's.
When I run 75's I always use a pair of those, and it's "just right." (Assuming the fish are not just babies.) That's because I do not like canister filters, or the hassle of a sump, and the AC 500 gives you tremendous bang for the buck. (So do smaller Aquaclears.)
