I have 2 125 gallon tanks and a couple weeks back I dumped in some convict fry thinking they would all get eaten. Nope. There is still a good amount in there. My red texas, senegalus, synodontis cats and hoplo cat ignore them all now. I'm looking for a cat that can wipe these guys out. I was looking at sun cats. I've read that they like to eat live food. Or maybe a 4 line pim cat? Lima shovelnose? I'm looking for something that's not too hard to find.

A squad of 4 or 5 clown loaches would leave no place for those fry to hide, but they might be too big by the time you get the loaches out of quarantine.... Big loaches are $$$$

I would use a net to take the fish out. No need in adding another fish to the mix. Take the fish you bet and sell them. With any money you make put it towards the catfish you want ;)
